Cranberry prevents the proliferation of pathogenic microorganisms in the urethra and bladder. It reduces the ability of bacteria to adhere to uroepithelial cells. Cranberry exhibits anticarcinogenic activity, as it participates in the apoptosis process of cancer cells. The proanthocyanidin oligomers, flavonoids, and triterpenoids found in the plant also exhibit anti-inflammatory effects (inhibit cyclooxygenase), antibacterial effects (particularly active against E. coli), and antioxidant effects. Cranberry extract improves kidney function and the function of both upper and lower urinary tracts, and increases diuresis. It reduces the risk of various infections and the development of cystitis.
Vitamin C is one of the most powerful antioxidants. It neutralizes free radicals in the body and prevents their harmful effects on tissues.
Take one capsule twice daily, preferably with meals.
