Acidum Ribonucleinicum (Larifan Ointment 0.05%)

Composition

Active ingredient: Larifan – double-stranded ribonucleic acid (dsRNA), 5 mg/10 g
Excipients: lanolin, paraffin, vaseline oil, sodium chloride, methylparahydroxybenzoate, propylparahydroxybenzoate, pentaerythritol dioleate, purified water

Pharmacological Group

Topical antiviral agent, immunomodulator

Indications

• Herpes lesions on skin and mucous membranes of any location

• Proliferative processes caused by papilloma virus (common warts, genital warts, papillomas)

• Cold (rhinitis)

• Skin and mucous membrane care, especially in the nose, for prophylaxis before and during respiratory infection epidemics

• Situations that may trigger herpes inflammation (windy, damp, cold environments, excessive sun exposure), especially in patients prone to herpes flares

• Prevention of skin warts

• Soothing agent for skin irritations, including thermal burns

• Basal cell carcinoma of the skin

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation

Use During Pregnancy and Lactation

Consultation with a doctor is required

Dosage and Administration

• Herpes flare-ups: 3 times daily until symptoms resolve

• During respiratory infection epidemics: apply to skin and nasal mucosa 1–2 times daily, contacts 2–3 times daily

• Cold (rhinitis): 5–6 times daily

• To limit the spread of papilloma virus: apply to warts 1–2 times daily for several weeks

• Skin irritation after thermal or traumatic influence: up to 4 times daily

• Basal cell carcinoma (under oncologist supervision): once daily
