What is Zincorot® 25 and what is it used for?
Zincorot® 25 tablets are a zinc-containing medicinal product used to treat zinc deficiency when sufficient intake through diet alone is not possible.
What should you be aware of before taking Zincorot® 25?
Do not take Zincorot® 25 tablets:
If you are hypersensitive (allergic) to zinc orotate 2H2O or to any of the excipients listed in section 6.
Take special care with Zincorot® 25 tablets:
Long-term use of zinc requires laboratory monitoring of copper levels in the body.
How to take Zincorot® 25 tablets
Always take Zincorot® 25 tablets exactly as described in the leaflet or as advised by your doctor or pharmacist. Please follow the dosing instructions strictly—otherwise, the medicine may not work as intended.
Unless your doctor prescribes a different dosage, the usual recommended dose is ½ or 1 tablet daily.
Method of Administration
The tablet should be taken with a sufficient amount of liquid some time after eating.

The duration of use depends on the therapeutic outcomes. Please consult your doctor!
Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you feel that the effect of Zincorot® 25 tablets is either too strong or too weak.
If you take more Zincorot® 25 than you should:
Taking multiple doses orally may cause symptoms such as a metallic taste, headaches, or fatigue, which usually disappear quickly after discontinuation.
If you forget to take Zincorot® 25:
Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed tablet.
Continue taking the product as prescribed.
If you stop taking Zincorot® 25:
There is no need for special measures if the treatment is stopped earlier than intended. However, for the best therapeutic outcome, consult your doctor before discontinuing the medication.

Side Effects
Like all medicines, Zincorot® 25 tablets can cause side effects, although not everybody experiences them.
Possible side effects include:
Gastrointestinal disorders – During the intake of Zincorot® 25, you may experience stomach or intestinal complaints such as abdominal pain, vomiting, nausea, diarrhea, or stomach irritation. These are most common at the start of treatment and usually when taken on an empty stomach.
In such cases, it is advised to take the tablet during meals, but not with plant-based food.
Long-term use of zinc may lead to copper deficiency.
