Each 5 ml of syrup contains:
Active ingredient: Desloratadine 2.5 mg.
Excipients: Sodium methylparahydroxybenzoate, sodium propylparahydroxybenzoate, propylene glycol, citric acid monohydrate, sucrose, “orange” flavor, yellow sunset coloring, glycerin, purified water.
Systemic antihistamines.
H1-histamine receptor blocker.
Allergic rhinitis (to relieve or reduce sneezing, nasal discharge, nasal congestion and itching, tearing, eye redness and itching, and itching of the palate);
Chronic idiopathic urticaria (to relieve or reduce skin itching and rash).
Eslotin is intended for oral use, regardless of meals, and should be taken with a small amount of water.
Children aged 1–5 years: 1.25 mg (2.5 ml of syrup) once daily.
Children aged 6–11 years: 2.5 mg (5 ml of syrup) once daily.
Adults and adolescents aged 12 years and older: 5 mg (10 ml of syrup) once daily.
A measuring cup is included in the package for accurate dosing. The course and duration of treatment depend on the nature of the disease.
For seasonal allergic rhinitis, treatment should be discontinued after symptoms resolve.
For perennial allergic rhinitis, treatment should continue throughout the patient’s exposure to the allergen.
In children under 2 years old, the most common adverse reactions were diarrhea, fever, and insomnia.
In adults, the most common adverse effects were fatigue, dry mouth, and headache.
Neurological: Hallucinations, dizziness, drowsiness, insomnia, psychomotor hyperactivity, convulsions.
Cardiovascular: Tachycardia, palpitations, QT interval prolongation, arrhythmia, bradycardia.
Gastrointestinal: Abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, dyspepsia, diarrhea.
Hepatic: Elevated liver enzymes and bilirubin, hepatitis, jaundice.
Other: Photosensitivity, muscle pain, hypersensitivity reactions (anaphylaxis, angioedema, shortness of breath, itching, rash, urticaria), asthenia.
Hypersensitivity to loratadine, desloratadine, or any excipient of the product.
Fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption, or sucrase-isomaltase deficiency.
Use in children under 1 year of age.
Use of the drug during pregnancy and breastfeeding is not recommended.
Driving and Operating Machinery:
In very rare cases, drowsiness may occur, which could affect the ability to drive or operate machinery.
Symptoms: Exaggeration of side effects.
Treatment: Gastric lavage followed by activated charcoal administration and, if necessary, symptomatic therapy.
Hemodialysis is ineffective; the effectiveness of peritoneal dialysis is unknown.
Orange-colored syrup with a sweet taste.
