Azotrin belongs to a group of antibiotics known as macrolides. It is used to treat infections caused by certain bacteria and other microorganisms.
Active ingredient: Each measuring spoon (5 ml) contains 209.64 mg of azithromycin dihydrate.
Excipients: Sucrose, sodium phosphate tribasic anhydrous, sodium benzoate (E211), hydroxypropyl cellulose (E463), xanthan gum (E415), sodium saccharin (E954), banana flavor, raspberry flavor.

Chest, throat, or nasal infections (such as bronchitis, pneumonia, and sinusitis)
Pharyngitis and tonsillitis caused by Streptococcus pyogenes when the patient is allergic to penicillin
Acute ear infections (acute otitis media)
Skin and soft tissue infections (such as abscesses or boils)
Sexually transmitted diseases caused by Chlamydia
Soft tissue ulcers caused by Haemophilus ducreyi
Sexually transmitted infections caused by non-multidrug-resistant Neisseria gonorrhoeae without co-infections
Azotrin suspension is typically used in children under 45 kg. It may also be used in adults or older children who have difficulty swallowing tablets.
For treatment of STIs caused by Chlamydia trachomatis, Haemophilus ducreyi, or sensitive Neisseria gonorrhoeae:
1000 mg as a single oral dose.
For S. pyogenes-induced pharyngitis/tonsillitis:
500 mg on the first day, followed by 250 mg daily on days 2, 3, 4, and 5 (total 5-day dose).
For all other indications:
Total dose of 1500 mg — 500 mg once daily for 3 consecutive days.
Children over 45 kg: Adult dosing is used.
For children under 45 kg:
10 mg per kg of body weight once daily for 3 days (total 30 mg/kg).
Alternatively, for 5 days: 10 mg/kg on day 1, then 5 mg/kg on days 2–5.
For acute otitis media:
Either a single dose of 30 mg/kg or dosing as described above.
For streptococcal pharyngitis in children:
Effective at 10 mg/kg/day or 20 mg/kg/day for 3 days (max 500 mg/day).

Shake the bottle well. Fill the provided cup with cooled boiled water up to the marked line, pour the water into the bottle containing the powder, close the cap, and shake vigorously.
Wait 5 minutes before administering the first dose.
Shake well before each use.
Consult your doctor before using this medication.
Do not take Azotrin if you are pregnant or trying to conceive without medical advice.
It should only be used during pregnancy when clearly necessary.
Inform your doctor immediately if you become pregnant during treatment.
It is unknown whether azithromycin passes into human breast milk.
Do not take Azotrin suspension without consulting your doctor or pharmacist.
Azotrin is not expected to affect your ability to drive or operate machinery.
Keep out of reach of children.
Store in original packaging at room temperature up to 30°C before reconstitution.
After mixing, the suspension is stable for 5 days at room temperature (up to 30°C).
