Ametazone ointment is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to any component of the product.
Each 1 g of ointment contains 1 mg of mometasone furoate.
Ametazone ointment is indicated for the treatment of corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses such as:
Psoriasis
Eczema
Dermatitis (e.g., atopic dermatitis)
Inflammatory and pruritic (itchy) skin conditions
Ametazone ointment is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to any component of the product.
Apply a thin layer of Ametazone ointment to the affected skin area once daily.
Occlusive dressings should not be used with Ametazone ointment unless directed by a physician.
Do not apply to diaper areas if the child still uses diapers or plastic pants, as they may act as occlusive dressings.
Use the medication exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
For external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes.
Use the medication only for the condition for which it was prescribed.
Do not cover the treated area with a bandage or any occlusive dressing unless instructed by your doctor.
Parents should be advised not to use Ametazone ointment to treat diaper dermatitis, and it should not be applied to diaper areas, as diapers and plastic pants may act as occlusive dressings.
As with other corticosteroids, discontinue therapy when control is achieved.
If there is no improvement within 2 weeks, consult your doctor.
Do not use other corticosteroid-containing products at the same time without medical advice.
Store at room temperature below 25°C.
Do not freeze.
Keep out of reach of children. Store in the original packaging.
