It is used for allergic conjunctivitis, allergic keratitis and keratoconjunctivitis, dry eye syndrome, and eye strain and fatigue.

About Product

EyeCrol eye drops 4%, 10 ml bottle

Composition:

Each 1 ml of EyeCrol contains:

  • Active ingredient: Sodium cromoglycate 40 mg

  • Excipients: Benzalkonium chloride, disodium edetate, polysorbate 80, sodium hydroxide, hydrochloric acid, water for injection.


Indications for Use:

  • Allergic conjunctivitis (acute, chronic, vernal)

  • Allergic keratitis and keratoconjunctivitis

  • Dry eye syndrome

  • Eye strain and fatigue caused by allergic reactions (environmental factors, occupational hazards, household chemicals, cosmetics, ophthalmic medications, plants, and domestic animals)


Contraindications:

  • Hypersensitivity to any of the components.


Side Effects:

  • Temporary burning and blurred vision

  • Conjunctival hyperemia and swelling

  • Tearing

  • Foreign body sensation in the eye

  • Dryness around the eyes

Dosage and Administration:

  • For adults and children: Instill 1–2 drops of the 4% solution into each eye 4–6 times daily at evenly spaced intervals.

  • After achieving clinical effects, gradually increase the interval between doses.


Special Precautions:

  • EyeCrol is for topical use only.

  • If conjunctival redness increases or persists, discontinue use and consult a physician.

  • Contact lenses should be removed before use and may be reinserted 15–20 minutes after instillation.

  • Avoid touching any surfaces with the dropper tip to prevent microbial contamination.

  • Always close the bottle after use.

  • Do not let the dropper come into contact with the eye.


Effects on Driving and Operating Machinery:

  • Temporary blurred vision may occur after instillation, which can impair the ability to drive or operate machinery.


Use in Pediatrics:

  • The safety and efficacy of EyeCrol in children under 4 years of age have not been established.


Use During Pregnancy and Lactation:

  • During pregnancy, use only if the expected therapeutic benefit outweighs the potential risk.

  • If used during lactation, breastfeeding should be discontinued.


Storage Conditions:

  • Store at temperatures not exceeding 25°C, protected from light and out of reach of children.

  • After opening, the product should be used within one month.
