It is used in the treatment of ascariasis, trichocephalosis, enterobiasis, mixed parasitic infections, and trichinellosis.
Each film-coated tablet contains:
Active substance: Albendazole 200 mg or Albendazole 400 mg.
Excipients: Anhydrous lactose, corn starch, sodium starch glycolate, talc, polplasdone XL, polyvinylpyrrolidone K25, magnesium stearate, sodium lauryl sulfate.
Coating: Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, polyethylene glycol 20000, titanium dioxide.

Nematode Infections:
Ascariasis (caused by Ascaris lumbricoides)
Trichocephalosis (caused by Trichocephalus trichiurus)
Enterobiasis (caused by Enterobius vermicularis)
Ancylostomiasis (caused by Ancylostoma duodenale and Necator americanus)
Trichinellosis (caused by Trichinella spiralis)
Toxocariasis (caused by Toxocara canis)
Strongyloidiasis (caused by Strongyloides stercoralis)
Tissue and Cestode Infections:
Cysticercosis (larval stage of Taenia solium)
Hydatid disease of the liver, lungs, and peritoneum (larval stage of Echinococcus granulosus)
As an adjuvant in the surgical treatment of alveolar echinococcosis
Mixed helminth infections
Giardiasis (caused by Giardia lamblia)
Hypersensitivity to albendazole or other benzimidazole derivatives

Adazal should be taken orally during or after meals. No special preparation or diet is required.
Dosage is determined individually based on the type of infestation and the patient’s body weight.
Maximum daily dose: 800 mg
Ascariasis, Trichocephalosis: ≥60 kg body weight: 400 mg daily (single or divided dose) , <60 kg: 15 mg/kg per day, in two divided doses
Enterobiasis: 5 mg/kg body weight as a single dose , Repeat after 14 days
Strongyloidiasis, Ancylostomiasis: 10 mg/kg once daily for 3 days , Repeat after one week if necessary
Trichinellosis: 10 mg/kg per day in 2 divided doses for 7–10 days
Toxocariasis: 10 mg/kg per day in 2 doses after meals for 10 days , Repeat course after 14–30 days
Hydatid disease: 10 mg/kg per day in 2–3 divided doses , 3 cycles of 28 days with 14-day breaks in between
Cysticercosis: 15 mg/kg per day in 3 divided doses for 28–30 days
Giardiasis: 400 mg once daily for 5 days
