It is used in Grade I, II, and III rhizarthrosis, as well as in osteoarthritis of degenerative and traumatic origin.
Each 2.5 ml syringe of Adant contains:
Active ingredient: 25 mg sodium hyaluronate.
Knee joint osteoarthritis (degenerative).
Periarthritis of the shoulder.
Grade I, II, III rhizarthrosis.
Osteoarthritis of degenerative and traumatic origin.
Adant injection is administered intra-articularly once a week for 5 weeks.
The number of injections depends on the severity of symptoms and disease progression.
The injection should be administered directly into the joint cavity (synovial fluid).
During injection:
Adant must be injected strictly into the intra-articular space, and strict adherence to sterile technique is required.
Treatment with Adant should be discontinued if there is no effect after the initial 5-week course.
In case of joint effusion, arthrocentesis is recommended prior to injection.
Other precautions:
Intravascular injection of Adant is prohibited.
Adant is not intended for ophthalmic use.
As Adant is a viscous solution, it is recommended to use a 21–23 gauge needle for injection.
If the product has been refrigerated, it should be brought to room temperature before use.
The syringe is for single use only and must be used immediately after opening.
Rare: Skin rash, urticaria, itching. In such cases, treatment with Adant should be discontinued and appropriate therapy should be initiated.
At the injection site: Rarely, transient pain, swelling, redness, warmth, or heaviness may occur.
Very rare: Symptoms of shock. In such cases, treatment must be discontinued immediately and appropriate emergency treatment should be initiated.
Store in a place protected from light at a temperature between 1°C and 30°C.
If proper temperature conditions cannot be maintained, the product may be stored in a refrigerator.
