Lincomycin hydrochloride is used in the treatment of purulent-inflammatory diseases caused by gram-positive bacteria that are sensitive to its action.
Each 1 mL ampoule contains:
Active ingredient: Lincomycin hydrochloride (calculated as 100% lincomycin) – 300 mg
Excipients: Disodium edetate, benzyl alcohol, water for injection
Lincomycin hydrochloride is used for the treatment of purulent-inflammatory diseases caused by gram-positive bacteria sensitive to its action—especially in cases of severe infections caused by organisms resistant to other antibiotics.
It is indicated for use in:
Acute and chronic osteomyelitis
Staphylococcal and streptococcal septicemia
Pneumonia (especially staphylococcal)
Purulent infections of the skin and soft tissues
Erysipelas
Purulent pleurisy
Septic complications following vascular or cardiac surgery
Otitis media
Septic endocarditis
Arthritis
As an adjunctive treatment for diphtheria
Lincomycin is administered via intramuscular (IM) or intravenous (IV) injection.
Adults:
Children:
Dose: 10–20 mg/kg every 8–12 hours
Total daily dose: 15–30 mg/kg divided into two doses (every 12 hours)
Duration of treatment: Determined by clinical course, usually 7–14 days
Renal impairment: In patients with reduced kidney function, the dose should be reduced to 25–30% of the standard dose (not exceeding 1.8 g/day)
Pregnancy (unless deemed essential for life-saving purposes)
Use with caution and reduced dosage in patients with severe liver or kidney dysfunction
Contraindicated in myasthenia gravis
Not recommended during breastfeeding (passes through placenta and is excreted in breast milk)
Contraindicated in infants under 1 month of age
Store in the original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 30°C.
