Monural helps reduce urinary tract infections and supports the relief of discomfort as well as the maintenance of normal urinary function.
Fosfolipids

1 sachet contains active ingredient – fosfomycin trometamol 3.754 g or 5.631 g (equivalent to 2.0 g or 3.0 g fosfomycin);
Excipients: mandarin flavor, orange flavor, saccharin, sucrose.

Orally.
Granules are dissolved in 1/3 cup of water. Monural is taken once daily, 2 hours before meals or 2 hours after meals, before sleep, on an empty bladder.
Adults: 1 sachet (3 g) once daily.
For prophylaxis of urinary tract infections during surgical interventions and transurethral diagnostic procedures, a two-dose regimen is required: 3 hours before surgery or diagnostic procedure and 24 hours after the procedure.
Children (5–18 years): 2 g once daily.
Treatment course: 1 day.
In severe cases (elderly patients, recurrent infections), a second dose of 1 sachet may be taken 24 hours later.
In renal insufficiency, the dose should be reduced and the interval between doses increased.
Gastrointestinal (nausea, heartburn, diarrhea), skin rash, allergic reactions
Individual hypersensitivity to fosfomycin trometamol, severe renal insufficiency (creatinine clearance < 10 ml/min), age under 5 years
During pregnancy, the drug is prescribed only if the potential benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus.
During lactation, it is advisable to discontinue breastfeeding until the end of the treatment course.
Taking with food reduces drug absorption – it must be taken 2 hours before meals or 2 hours after meals.
Patients with diabetes mellitus should consider that 1 sachet of 2 g or 3 g dose contains 2.100 g or 2.213 g of sucrose, respectively.
