It is used for infections of the upper respiratory tract, lower respiratory tract, skin, and soft tissues.
Powder for oral suspension 200 mg/5 ml: each 5 ml of the prepared suspension contains azithromycin dihydrate, equivalent to 200 mg of azithromycin base.
Excipients: sucrose, xanthan gum, hydroxypropyl cellulose, anhydrous sodium phosphate, silicon dioxide, titanium dioxide, lemon flavor, vanilla flavor, aspartame.
Upper respiratory tract infections (bacterial pharyngitis/tonsillitis, sinusitis, otitis);
Lower respiratory tract infections (bacterial bronchitis, interstitial and alveolar pneumonia, acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis);
Skin and soft tissue infections (chronic migratory erythema – early stage of Lyme disease, erysipelas, impetigo, secondary pyodermatoses);
Acute sexually transmitted infections (urethritis, cervicitis);
Stomach and duodenal diseases associated with H. pylori.
In children aged 6 months and above, the suspension is recommended.
For upper/lower respiratory tract and skin/soft tissue infections(except chronic migratory erythema):
Adults: 500 mg once daily for 3 days.
Children: 10 mg/kg once daily for 3 days.
For Helicobacter pylori-associated gastric and duodenal diseases:
1 g (two 500 mg capsules) once daily for 3 days.
For uncomplicated sexually transmitted infections (urethritis, cervicitis caused by Chlamydia trachomatis):
1 g daily on days 1, 7, and 14. Total course dose: 3 g.
Add 17 ml of distilled or boiled water to the bottle containing 31.3 g of powder. The final volume will be 37.5 ml of suspension.
Prepared suspension is stable for 5 days when stored in a refrigerator. Shake the bottle well before each use until a uniform suspension is obtained.
After administering the dose, children should drink a few spoonfuls of tea or water to ensure complete swallowing of any residue in the mouth.
Store in a dry place, out of reach of children, at 15–25°C.
Prepared suspension must be stored in the refrigerator.
