Aclifi is used for topical treatment of common acne (Acne Vulgaris) on the face and/or body in patients aged 12 years and older, characterized by many comedones (whiteheads and blackheads), papules, and pustules (inflammatory pustular eruptions).
Always use this medication exactly as prescribed by your doctor. If you are unsure, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Important: Aclifi is intended only for patients aged 12 years and older for use on the face and/or body skin. Do not use this medication on other parts of the body. Do not swallow. Keep Aclifi out of reach of children.
Before first use, prepare the pump by pressing it several times (up to 10 times) until a small amount of cream is released. The pump is now ready for use.
Apply a thin layer of Aclifi cream to the affected areas of the face (forehead, nose, chin, right and left cheeks) and affected areas of the body once daily in the evening on clean, dry skin:
One pump activation is sufficient to cover the face (forehead, cheeks, nose, and chin).
Two pump activations are sufficient to cover the upper body (reachable back area, shoulders, and chest). One additional pump activation may be used for the middle and lower back if acne is present there as well.
Do not use more than four pump activations per day.
Avoid contact with eyes, eyelids, lips, and mucous membranes (e.g., inside the nose or mouth). If the cream accidentally gets into these areas, rinse immediately with plenty of warm water.
Wash your hands immediately after applying the cream.
You should use a moisturizer as often as needed starting from the beginning of Aclifi treatment. The moisturizer can be applied before or after Aclifi with a sufficient interval to allow the skin to dry between applications.
Your doctor will advise you on how long to use Aclifi. After three months of treatment, your doctor may assess further improvement of your acne.
Use in children:
Aclifi is not recommended for children under 12 years of age.
Pregnancy:Do not use Aclifi if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant. Your doctor can provide more information. If you become pregnant during treatment, stop using this medication immediately and contact your doctor.
Breastfeeding:
There is a risk that the active ingredient in the cream may be excreted in breast milk, posing potential risk to the infant. You and your doctor should decide whether to stop breastfeeding or discontinue Aclifi therapy, considering the benefits of breastfeeding for the child and therapy for the mother.
Nursing women should not apply Aclifi to the breast area to avoid risk of ingestion or contact by the infant.
Aclifi has no or negligible influence on the ability to drive and use machines.
Keep this medication out of reach of children.
Discard the tube or pump 6 months after first opening.
