Tablets are taken orally.
The recommended dose is 50 mg, taken approximately one hour before sexual activity, as needed. Based on efficacy and tolerability, the dose may be increased to 100 mg, or decreased to 25 mg. The maximum recommended dose is 100 mg, and the maximum frequency of administration is once per day. When taken with food, the activity of Sildenafil may be manifested later compared to taking it on an empty stomach.
Since Sildenafil clearance is reduced in elderly patients, the initial dose should be 25 mg. Based on efficacy and tolerability, the dose may be increased to 50 mg and 100 mg.
The drug is not indicated for patients under 18 years of age.
