Alka-Seltzer Effervescent Tablet

Composition:

• Active ingredient: Acetylsalicylic acid – 324 mg per tablet

• Excipients: Anhydrous citric acid, sodium bicarbonate, povidone 25, sodium saccharin, lemon flavor, lime flavor, dimethicone, calcium silicate, sodium docusate, sodium benzoate.

Indications for Use:

• For mild to moderate pain

• For elevated body temperature (fever)

Note: Usage indications vary for children and adults (see section "Precautions").

Dosage and Administration:

• Dissolve the tablet(s) in a glass of water and drink.

Adults and adolescents over 15 years of age:

• Single dose: 1–2 effervescent tablets

• Maximum daily dose: 8 tablets (2,592 mg)

• If necessary, the dose may be repeated every 4–8 hours, up to 3 times per day

Elderly:

• Usual dose: 1 tablet; if pain or fever is more intense, 2 tablets may be taken

• Repeat if necessary, but with at least a 4-hour interval

• Maximum daily dose: 4 tablets

Duration of use (without doctor’s consultation):

• No more than 5 days as a pain reliever

• No more than 3 days as a fever reducer

Contraindications:

• Hypersensitivity to acetylsalicylic acid or other NSAIDs or to any component of the product

• Active peptic ulcer

• Hemorrhagic diathesis (bleeding disorders)

• Concurrent use of methotrexate ≥15 mg/week

• Asthma induced by salicylates or other NSAIDs

• Severe renal and/or hepatic insufficiency

• Severe chronic heart failure

• Pregnancy (third trimester)

• Children and adolescents under 15 years of age

Storage Conditions:

• Store at a temperature not exceeding 25°C (77°F)

• Keep out of reach of children
