Dosage form: oral drops.
Composition (per 25 ml): valerian tincture – 10 ml; wormwood tincture – 7.5 ml; peppermint tincture – 5 ml; belladonna tincture – 2.5 ml.
The plants included in the preparation contain a complex of biologically active substances: essential oils (main components – menthol, borneol isovalerate), valepotriates, absinthin, anabsinthin, ascorbic acid, organic acids, tannins, flavonoids, triterpene saponins, hyoscyamine, scopolamine.
Pharmacological action: “Gastric drops” is a combined preparation of plant origin. Its effectiveness is based on the components included in its composition: alkaloids of belladonna tincture provide an analgesic effect during gastralgia; valerian and peppermint tinctures ensure sedative and antispasmodic effects. Wormwood tincture reflexively enhances the secretion of digestive tract glands, regulates and improves the digestion process.
Indications: used in complex therapy as an auxiliary agent.
Spastic conditions of the digestive tract accompanied by pain, nausea, and flatulence.
Method of administration and dosage: taken orally, 30 minutes before meals. The drops should be diluted in one tablespoon of water.
Adults: 5–10 drops 2–3 times a day.
Children from 5 years: as many drops as the child’s age – once a day.
Contraindications:
• hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation;
• glaucoma;
• renal insufficiency;
• organic heart disorders;
• increased gastric secretion;
• gastric and duodenal ulcers;
• lactation period (reduces lactation).
Side effects: in rare cases, allergic reactions may occur.
Effect on the ability to drive vehicles and operate machinery:
Caution is required when driving vehicles or operating machinery while taking the preparation, as it may affect concentration and reaction speed.
Use during pregnancy and lactation:
Use of the preparation during pregnancy and lactation is possible only on a doctor’s prescription.
Overdose: overdose may cause symptoms of poisoning. Gastric lavage and intake of enterosorbents are indicated. Treatment is symptomatic.
Interaction with other medicinal products:
- The valerian tincture contained in the preparation may potentiate the effects of sedative, hypnotic, analgesic, and antispasmodic agents.
- Belladonna alkaloids weaken the effects of m-cholinomimetic and anticholinesterase agents. They enhance the arrhythmogenic effect of MAO inhibitors, the anticholinergic effect of quinidine, as well as the effects of cardiac glycosides, clonidine, procainamide, barbiturates, adrenomimetic and antihistamine agents, and tranquilizers.
- A precipitate form when combined with lead acetate, calcium salts, tannin, and lily-of-the-valley tincture.
- The effectiveness of the preparation is reduced in smokers, as well as in those who prefer hot and spicy food.
Presentation: 25 ml in orange glass or polymer bottles with a dropper and screw cap.

Storage conditions: Store at room temperature, protected from light.
