Has sedative, antispasmodic, analgesic, antiseptic, antimicrobial, and anti-inflammatory effects.
Dosage form: Tincture
Composition (per 25 ml):
Peppermint leaves – 1.25 g
Peppermint oil – 1.25 g
90% ethyl alcohol – sufficient quantity to obtain 25 ml of tincture.
Contains biologically active substances: essential oils (main component menthol – 60%, menthene – 10–25%), oleic and ursolic acids, flavonoids, carotene.
Pharmacological action:
Has sedative, antispasmodic, analgesic, antiseptic, antimicrobial, and anti-inflammatory effects. Reflexively dilates cerebral and cardiac blood vessels. Reduces the tone of intestinal smooth muscles, has a choleretic effect, enhances capillary blood supply and intestinal peristalsis by stimulating peripheral neuroreceptors of the intestinal mucosa, stimulates secretion of the glands of the digestive tract, reduces dyspeptic symptoms, has an antiemetic effect, and improves appetite.
Effective when used as inhalation in inflammatory processes of the upper respiratory tract; has expectorant and mucolytic effects and способствует restoration of the function of the ciliated epithelium of the upper respiratory tract.

Method of administration and dosage:
Orally, 10–15 drops 3–4 times a day after meals (the drops should be diluted in 1/4 glass of water).
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to the components of the medicinal product.
Side effects:
Use as inhalation in children is not allowed, as menthol exposure may cause bronchospasm and reflex respiratory depression.
Effect on the ability to drive vehicles and operate machinery:
When taking the drug, caution is required when driving vehicles and operating machinery, as it affects concentration and reaction speed.
Overdose:
Prolonged use in large doses may lead to a decrease in the speed of psychomotor reactions.
Missed dose:
If a dose is missed, the next dose should be taken according to the original regimen.
