Cystibact® is a food supplement containing Cysti-Complex®. The complex contains D-mannose, bearberry and cranberry extracts, beta-glucan, palmitoylethanolamide (PEA).

Cystibact® is a food supplement intended for the prevention of urinary tract infections and for maintaining normal function of the urinary system.
The Cysti-Complex® contained in its composition creates a protective barrier in the urinary system to prevent the development of a new infection or its recurrence.
This product represents a natural, antibiotic-sparing strategy aimed at reducing the risk of developing antibiotic resistance.
D-mannose is a naturally occurring simple sugar. After oral intake, most of it is excreted unchanged in the urine. It mimics the receptors required for uropathogens to attach to the host’s uroepithelial cells. D-mannose competitively binds to bacterial surface ligands, reduces the number of bacteria attached to the mucous membrane, and shifts the balance of interaction between the host and pathogens in favor of the host.
Cranberry fruit extract is a natural bacteriostatic and anti-inflammatory agent. It inhibits the adhesion of uropathogens to uroepithelial cells through several mechanisms. In particular, the proanthocyanidins contained in cranberry extract inhibit P-fimbriae-mediated adhesion of uropathogenic E. coli, while fructose inhibits type-1 fimbriae-mediated adhesion.
Type-1 fimbriae of uropathogenic E. coli are responsible for persistence of infection, enhancement of the inflammatory response, and ascending spread of bacteria through impairment of ureteral contractility.
P-fimbriae ensure adhesion of uropathogens to the surface of the upper urinary tract and kidney cells and are responsible for the development of complicated infections.
The main antimicrobial component of bearberry leaf extract, arbutin, causes modification of the bacterial cell wall and significantly reduces pathogen adhesion to the uroepithelium. It stimulates diuresis (without affecting sodium and potassium excretion) and exhibits anti-inflammatory activity.
Beta-glucans are polysaccharides that form the cell wall of some bacteria and fungi. They bind to specific receptors on the cell surface and enhance the body’s immune defense by stimulating the activity of the complement system, macrophages, and natural killer cells.
Palmitoylethanolamide (PEA) is an endogenous substance of the endocannabinoid family, produced in tissues in response to inflammatory stimuli. It performs a protective function and promotes cell regeneration.
Areas of the central nervous system responsible for pain control are rich in cannabinoid receptors. Their stimulation activates pain-reduction mechanisms. PEA exhibits an analgesic effect through selective action on CB2 receptors. It also has an anti-inflammatory effect at the peripheral level by inhibiting mast cell degranulation.
How to use:
Take 1–2 sticks daily. The contents of the stick are taken directly, without water. If desired, it can be taken dissolved in water.
