Allopurinol Normon is used for the prevention of gout and other conditions caused by excessive levels of uric acid in the body.
The active substance is allopurinol. Each tablet contains 100 mg of allopurinol.
Other excipients: lactose monohydrate, corn starch, povidone, and magnesium stearate.

The tablet should be swallowed whole with water. It is usually taken once daily, typically after meals.
Treatment typically begins with a low dose (such as 100 mg per day) to reduce the risk of side effects. The dose may be increased if needed.
Adults:
The usual starting dose is 100–300 mg per day.
The dose may be increased up to 900 mg daily, depending on individual needs.
If gastrointestinal discomfort occurs, the daily dose can be split into multiple smaller doses and taken with food.
Children under 15 years:
The recommended dose is 100–400 mg per day.
Elderly patients:
The doctor will prescribe the lowest effective dose to reduce uric acid levels and control symptoms.
Patients with liver or kidney impairment:
If you have liver or kidney problems, your doctor will prescribe the lowest effective dose.
In cases of kidney failure, less than 100 mg per day or 100 mg at extended intervals may be recommended.
For patients undergoing dialysis two or three times a week, the doctor may prescribe 300–400 mg to be taken immediately after dialysis.
If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant, or are planning to have a baby, consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine.
Allopurinol is not recommended during pregnancy.
Since allopurinol is excreted in breast milk, it is not recommended during breastfeeding.
This medicine may impair your ability to drive or operate machinery due to potential side effects like drowsiness, dizziness, or coordination problems.
Do not drive or use machines unless you are sure the medication does not affect your ability to do so safely.
This medicine contains lactose. Consult your doctor before taking it if you have been diagnosed with a sugar intolerance.
Keep out of reach of children.
No special storage conditions are required.
Do not use the medicine after the expiry date stated on the packaging. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
