Has antitussive (cough-suppressing), expectorant, antiseptic, and sedative effects.
Dosage form: syrup.
Pharmacological group: combined herbal-origin expectorant and sedative agent.
Composition per 130 g: liquid thyme extract – 15.6 g; potassium bromide – 1.3 g; sorbic acid or methylparaben; ethyl alcohol; sugar syrup.
The liquid thyme extract contains a complex of biologically active substances: essential oil (main components: thymol, carvacrol, linalool), flavonoids, ursolic and oleic acids.
Pharmacological action:
Has antitussive (cough-suppressing), expectorant, antiseptic, and sedative effects.
Indications: used in complex therapy as an auxiliary remedy.
• catarrh of the upper respiratory tract;
• bronchitis;
• tracheitis;
• whooping cough.
Side effects: allergic reactions to the components of the preparation.
If side effects occur, the patient should discontinue treatment and consult a doctor.
Method of administration and dosage: orally, before meals.
Adults and children over 12 years: 15 ml syrup 3–4 times daily.
Children aged 1–3 years: 2.5 ml syrup 2–3 times daily;
Children aged 3–6 years: 5 ml syrup 2–3 times daily;
Children aged 6–12 years: 10 ml syrup 2–3 times daily;
(the indicated doses may be taken diluted in water).
Duration of treatment is determined individually by a physician.
Missed dose: if a dose is missed, a double dose should not be taken. The next dose should be taken as soon as possible or according to the original schedule.
Contraindications:
hypersensitivity to bromides; heart failure; hypotension; anemia; diabetes mellitus.
Pregnancy and lactation: the product is not used during pregnancy and lactation.
Effect on the ability to drive and operate machinery: the product does not affect the ability to drive or operate machinery.
Interactions with other medicinal products: co-administration with cough suppressants and codeine-containing products is not recommended.
Special warnings: the product is not prescribed for children under 1 year of age.
Overdose: symptoms - nausea, vomiting.
Treatment: discontinuation of the product.
Precautions: the product should be used with caution in patients with diabetes mellitus, and during pregnancy and lactation.
Shelf life: 2 years.
After the expiration date or if defects are detected during visual inspection, the product must not be used.
Storage conditions:
store at 15–25°C, protected from light and out of reach of children.
